Bang would like to offer big huge congratulations to our own Peter Murrieta for his Emmy win for Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie, and to animator Darrin Butters, whose nominated Christmas special, Prep and Landing, took home an Emmy.

Disney exec. producer Peter Murrieta leads a double comedy life.

Our own fearless leader Peter Murrieta’s secret has been exposed in a recent feature on The Wrap. Peter lives a double life. When he’s not cavorting with the likes of Selena Gomez and David Henrie by day, he’s busy producing exciting adult comedy shows like Streep Tease right here at bang.

It’s a seeming contradiction, but Murrieta insists not. “It doesn’t really feel like a dichotomy,” he said. “It’s more of an extension.”

Peter Murrieta wins an Emmy!

Congratulations to bang’s own Peter Murrieta, for his Primetime Emmy win on Saturday! As Executive Producer and Showrunner, Peter has crafted Wizards of Waverly Place into a show worthy of the accolades of the entertainment industry. We’re all so proud of you, Peter.

As if that wasn’t enough excitement, the very next day Peter moderated a panel with the cast of Wizards at Disney’s D23 convention, drawing a crowd of over 4,000 enthusiastic fans!
