Dublin 4 has become one of the most sought after Irish bands in California. Not only are they currently working on their third CD (due to be released in June 2010) they have also been performing at numerous fairs, festivals, theaters, weddings, corporate and private events.

Together now for about nine years, Dublin 4 is immersed in traditional music. They have developed a unique style and song list that includes material that is rarely played to fans of Irish music. As a result of this, one of their greatest rewards is having the opportunity to play in front of new audiences at shows where an Irish band normally wouldn’t have even been considered.

Seeing Dublin 4 live brings an infectious energy that loyal fans crave. After a recent pub show, a fan noted “That was the best pub concert I have ever been to.” The music is strictly traditional in style. They have a clear vision of what music they play and how they go about their craft. The Los Angeles Times wrote, “More authentic than green beer and as rich as a pint of Guinness.”

David Henrie from Wizards of Waverly Place heads up this charitable acting workshop for kids in the LAUSD in affiliation with LA’s Best. The event was a major success for the kids and BANG. Ezra Weisz led the workshop along with Karen Baughn (Fructose). There were 23 kids from Arlington Heights Elementary School in the theater taking an improv class alongside Brandon Smith (Sonny with a Chance) Debby Ryan (Suite Life on Deck), Jeff Garlin (Curb Your Enthusiasm) Illeana Douglas (Quiz Show, Grace of my Heart) and David Henrie, among others. Tiger Beat, Getty, The Hollywood Examiner and Variety were all at bang plus a few online blog/gossip sites. This is just the start of many projects like this for BANG in 2010.

Peter lives a double life. When he’s not cavorting with the likes of Selena Gomez and David Henrie by day, he’s busy producing exciting adult comedy shows like Streep Tease right here at bang.

It’s a seeming contradiction, but Murrieta insists not. “It doesn’t really feel like a dichotomy,” he said. “It’s more of an extension.”
